Rosso di Montalcino 2011 DOC – 90 punti

A juicy, fluid style, with spice and licorice notes surrounding a core of  cherry. Shows depth and a complex structure, with firm tannins for  support. Drink now through 2020. 4,165 cases made. –BS

Brunello di Montalcino 2008 DOCG – 93 punti

This is a pretty wine with roses, berries and raspeberries on the nose and palate. What I like is its medium to full body with very well-integrated tannins and a pretty, clean finish. Such harmony and a balance here. Drink or hold.

Solengo 2010 IGT – 93 punti

Impressive aromas of blackberries, coffee and hints of leather. Full body, with cheawy tannins and an intense finish. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. This is a longtime favorite. Needs two of three years to come togheter.

Suolo IGT 2010 – 95 punti

Sweet berry aromas with hints of dried meat and flowers. Full body, with velvety tannins and a ripe, juicy fruit finish. So flavorfoul now yet has a subtle and intriguing complexity. Best Suolo ever. Pure Sangiovese. Drink or hold.

 Lots of dark fruit in this wine with a mineral and black licorice character. Full body, with chewy yet polished tannins and long, long finish. This is rich, powerful and balanced. Extremely well made from a top producer in Montalcino. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Sangiovese. Better in 2015.

Suolo IGT 2010 – 95 punti
